Our Pastoral Staff & Vision

At Highlands, our staff is motivated to share the gospel of Jesus and serve others. We are called to outreach in Lancaster and the Hocking Hills Ohio community and beyond.

Our Pastor Team:

Our church is a “fellowship and family” of believers.  Some have dubbed our fellowship “one of the friendliest churches in Lancaster.”  We are thankful for this distinction.  We encourage people seeking Jesus to work and equip believers in making a difference in the lives of everyday people.
Mark Reese,  Senior Pastor
Pastor Mark began a life in ministry as a young pastor. He has served in various lead pastoral ministry roles throughout the years with organizations like the Churches of God Anderson, IN, The Association of Free Will Baptists and others.. His passion is sharing God’s Word in both preaching and teaching ministry arenas. He received his formal training with Boyce Bible College, Columbus State Community College and extensive training in church ministries and corporate business.  He has served in ministry as a Youth Pastor, Associate Staff Pastor and now as a Lead Pastor for the last 20 years.  Pastor Mark’s other passion is music.  In early ministry years, he traveled and recorded as the lead singer with nationally known music ministries like The Mercy River Boys-Nashville, TN, The Kindlers- Nashville, TN and The Sons of Grace-Columbus, OH. He has produced with notable Nashville musicians and producers like Anthony Berger (Gaither Vocal Band), Danny Crawford (Spring Hill Music), Jimmy Tarbutton (The Oak Ridge Boys, Oaks Place Studios, Hendersonville, TN) and others.  Pastor Mark and his wife Sally have two teenage children: Emma and Mark Anthony. The greatest calling and honor of his life has been his family. You will love his passion for the gospel, his love for people and his heart to reach the Lancaster community with the gospel of Jesus.
